Chest

Turkey, Ottoman period, 18th–19th century

The entire chest is decorated with a geometric pattern of inlaid mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell. Bone and wood inlay along the edges. Inlaid foliated ornament on the top lid. One compartment inside. The interior of the chest is partially lined with colour paper printed with a foliated pattern. Some of the inlay has not been preserved.
